About Our Parish: About Us
Specifics About Our Parish Family
Saint Margaret Mary Parish
is located in Louisville, Kentucky. The parish has 1,952
families and 5,700 members. Since 1994 our parish family
has become committed to the practice of Stewardship
as a way of life. With excellent leadership from the Pastor,
Staff, and Parish Council our four Coordinating Committees
empower 70 ministries/committees in the areas of Worship,
Formation, Service and Administration. For example, our
parish has a strong Parish Religious Education
Program for children who attend public schools,
an active Youth Ministry, Seniors Group, RCIA,
and a new Women’s Ministry. For a complete

We have a growing and vibrant Parish Elementary
School (Grades K-8). In 2004, we were one of
only two Kentucky Schools to receive the National “No
Child Left Behind Blue Ribbon School of Excellence Award.”
There are 448 school families and 742 students at the
present time.
Thanks to the generosity of parishioners, expansions
and renovations were made to the school and a new Pastoral
Center was completed in July 2000.
Decisions for planning and growth for our parish are guided
by the following:

community creating a vital center of worship by sharing
our faith as living examples of God’s word.
- To educate and instill Catholic beliefs
and values, foster lifelong formation, and nurture spiritual

life, our fundamental response as disciples of Jesus
Christ.
- To evangelize our Catholic faith through

collaboration, and engagement.
- To prepare the Parish community for
