Saint Margaret Mary Parish

This committee assists school and parish personnel in the design and updating of the community websites. It involves the review and monitoring of the website, training parish staff in website maintenance, recommendations for email processing and web hosting. COMPLIANCE, AUDIT, & PROCEDURES 90

This recently reconstituted committee will be responsible for ensuring that the parish is following Archdiocesan guidelines and other applicable guidelines, rules, and procedures, such as Charitable Gaming, etc. It also ensures through implementing appropriate controls and testing an in-house audit of the parish financial procedures, as well as special projects at the call of Parish Council, and it supports the Financial Committee. Time Commitment: meetings, and projects as needed. Chairperson: Kurt Hummel

CONTRIBUTION COUNTER 91

Counts weekly collection contributions and prepares balance sheet. Time Commitment: About 3 months a year, on a rotating schedule. Counting on Sunday takes about two hours, on Monday about one hour. Chairpersons: Fabian Lipp and Stella Thompson

FINANCIAL COMMITTEE 92

Assists the Director of Finance and Parish Council in carrying out the financial business of the parish by analyzing the parish financial statements. Projects the parish cash flow, making financial recommendations based on analysis, supports the annual budget process, and may assist the Budget Committee. Chairperson: Laura Malloy

GOD’S HOUSEKEEPERS 93

This committee gathers monthly to clean the church. These men and women help take care of our worship area. Time Commitment: 1 1/2 hours, 3 times a year. Chairperson: Lisa Priest

GROUNDS & FACILITIES 94

This hands-on committee works closely with staff regarding immediate needs of grounds and facilities. Time Commitment: monthly working days as needed, usually 2-3 hours on a Saturday; may also work independently. Chairperson: Mike Lamb

PARISH OFFICE VOLUNTEER 95

Assists with parish administrative tasks, e.g., helping with parish mailings. Time Commitment: several hours per year. Chairperson: Stephanie Pacanowski

TECHNOLOGY COMMITTEE 97

Volunteers for this committee advise and assist St. Margaret Mary Staff with technology, such as system and network design, system utilization and capacity, emergency recovery procedures, recommendations and review of technology project planning for the parish and the school. The committee will provide training for parish/school staff and parish members in use of software products, such as Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Time Commitment: meetings and projects as needed. Chairperson: Trip McCracken

TELEPHONE COMMITTEE 98

Periodically through the year different parish committees have a need to make numerous telephone calls. This committee is called into action to meet this task. Chairperson: Stephanie Pacanowski.

PARISH PICNIC: PLANNING COMMITTEE 99

Volunteers plan, prepare, and work the annual Parish Picnic. The Parish Picnic is a two-night event in June. All proceeds from the picnic go to the parish general fund. Time Commitment: captains are required to be at pre-picnic meetings and both nights of the picnic; other volunteers may commit to two or more hours on either night. Chairperson: Todd Mercer

PLEASE KEEP IN MIND:

 Some of our committees/ministries take more or less time than others. (Example: Picnic General Volunteer or St. Joseph ’s Picnic may require only 2 hours for the entire year.)

 Some stewardship opportunities, like School Volunteer and Athletic Coach can be signed up for at school, sports registrations, or other special registrations. The leaders of these activities will give to the Parish Office the names of those who show active participation in these areas.
