HUMAN NEEDS & CONCERNS 61
Do
YOU seek to follow Christ’s command to live out your faith and give thanks
to God by caring for those in need? Find out some ways to do this by
contacting Joanne Boyle, information below. The Human Needs & Concerns
Committee’s mission is to promote the understanding of every person’s
dignity. The aspect that HNC is committed to is to take of physical needs,
such as food, clothing, and other necessities. Time
Commitment: Attendance at every meeting is NOT required. Meetings are
held on the second Monday of every month. There are ten yearly projects,
with the opportunity to volunteer for one or more projects as Project
Manager/Chair and/or Worker. HNC truly “makes a difference” and is
flexible in meeting Team Members’ schedules. Chairperson:

REFUGEE
RESETTLEMENT MINISTRY 62
This ministry helps refugee families to our
community make
Louisville
their new home. We do this by giving them a hand up. We provide household
items and furniture so that they can establish themselves in their new
homes, since these families come to our community with only the clothes on
their backs and a single suitcase. We can use volunteers to help with the
pickup and delivery of donated furniture and household items. You can also
participate by mentoring a new family in their adjustment phase. There are
many things that we take for granted that will be very foreign to them. Time
Commitment: no more than a couple hours at a time. Chairperson: John Cowan
