Women's Ministry
There is an array of activities for women seeking formation, spiritual growth and community in the parish. Bible studies, retreats, guest speakers and several women’s groups are among the regular activities provided for women in the parish. M.O.M.S.
Life is a God given opportunity to become who we are and that is what the Ministry of Mothers Sharing (M.O.M.S.) is all about. M.O.M.S. works to empower women from the inside out through eight sessions designed to enhance the Christian perspective on each of the following topics: self esteem and self acceptance; stress, worries and anxiety; everyday spirituality; feelings; personal goal settings; expressing values in true friendship; discernment of gifts; and celebration of new beginnings. The impact of M.O.M.S. runs wide and deep as women have their lives enriched and God is made the center of family life. In M.O.M.S. women claim their own sacredness and gifts and share those with the lives they touch every day. M.O.M.S. helps women grow in spirituality, womanhood, friendship and love.
The plan for MOMS is to hold a winter and a fall session of MOMS. The session in the winter will be at 7 PM in the evening and will last till 9 PM. The fall session will be a day session and will go from 9:30 am till 11:30 AM. The day of the week on which we meet has not been decided yet. There is also a retreat on March 3rd that will be given by Sister Paula Hagen the founder of MOMS. We may even try and have a movie night sometime during the spring but date and time have yet to be decided. To inquire about this ministry contact Jennifer Barker.

WOMEN'S ADVENT TEA
November 2012
The Advent Tea is a gathering of women at St. Margaret Mary to celebrate women's ministry and the work God does in their lives. It is an annual event and occurs close to Advent each year. This celebration aims to explore women’s relationship with God and the Holy Spirit. A speaker is chosen each year to empower this gathering of women and to offer them a new perspective on their life and relationship with Jesus Christ. As women we are in the habit of putting others first in our lives so this event strives to put women first. Chairperson: Mistianna Barnes
